Recycle Ann Arbor’s A-Z Recycling Guide is a comprehensive resource to help Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County Area residents properly reuse, recycle, compost, or (as a last option) safely dispose of everyday items and materials. This simple tool will help you responsibly sort your stuff and offer tips to help you reach your zero-waste goals!
Looking for something that isn’t listed in this guide? If your item doesn’t pop up on our list, odds are it can’t be recycled and should be thrown in the trash. Recycle Ann Arbor only accepts items that can be authentically recycled. When in doubt, throw it out, as items that can't be recycled will contaminate the recycling stream. Choose zero waste and aim to reduce and reuse the items that can’t be recycled.
