What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Glasses, drinking

Glass drinking glasses that are gently used, clean, and in good usable condition are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Drinking glasses are not recyclable and are not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Clean glasses before donating. Do not put drinking glasses, broken or otherwise in your curbside recycling cart. Drinking glasses are made of a different type of glass than food jars and bottles and melt at different temperatures. If such glass is mixed with recyclable glass, it will contaminate it. Using the wrong type of glass to make food jars and bottles can make them more fragile and less durable.

Choose Zero Waste!

Try to find another use for glasses in your home, if not possible, donating unwanted but still usable items instead of throwing them away is the best way to ensure they get reused!
