Recycle Ann Arbor's Recovery Yard is Michigan's only non-profit construction and demolition recycler, providing prompt and reliable service to southeast Michigan. Our professional and experienced staff will work with you to meet your C&D recycling needs, no matter the size of the project. Whether clearing out a basement, remodeling, moving, or undertaking demolition, concrete work, or new home construction, we’ll ensure your debris is handled in an environmentally responsible manner. We can even help you achieve LEED certification. Our aim is to maximize the recycling of materials from construction sites and ensure that waste is disposed of in a safe and sustainable manner.

Roll-off container (dumpster) services

  • 10-40 cubic yard roll-off containers for construction and demolition debris and recyclable materials
  • Construction sites, home remodeling and clean-outs, industrial use
  • Materials accepted include all construction and demolition debris, wood, metal, cardboard, and concrete
  • We do not accept asphalt
  • Complete roll-off container delivery and removal services
  • We do not accept asbestos containing material of any kind
  • Request a dumpster rental

Construction and demolition (C&D) debris recycling

  • Maximum recovery and recycling of C&D debris
  • Clean wood: non-treated, no paint/stain, no particle board/plywood (all other wood accepted for disposal)
  • Metal, cardboard, concrete
  • We do not accept asbestos containing material of any kind
  • We do not accept asphalt

Drop-off disposal services

  • 10,000 s.f. processing facility located on the premises
  • Open to all commercial haulers and to the public
  • Accepting all construction and demolition debris
  • Ideal for residential remodeling jobs or small contractor services
  • No municipal waste accepted

Drop-off recycling

  • Open five days per week for drop-off recycling
  • Recycle concrete, freon appliances, tires, propane tanks for a fee

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification

  • Experienced staff to help contractors meet LEED goals and standards required for project certification
  • Assistance in effectively managing overall construction site waste streams
  • Complete tracking and reports provided to demonstrate that a certain percentage of C&D debris has been recycled

Demolition consultation

  • Let us help you determine the size and type of container that best fits your job

  • Identification of non-acceptable waste streams
