What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Herbicides

Herbicides, often referred to as weed killers, are classified as pesticides and considered hazardous substances and are accepted for proper disposal at Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site.

Recycle Right!

Do not put herbicide or empty herbicide containers in your curbside recycling cart or trash bin. The hazardous chemicals create dangerous conditions for our workers and could contaminate an entire load of recyclables, and groundwater. Dispose of herbicides safely at the Washtenaw County Home Toxics site.

Choose Zero Waste!

Choose organic or biodegradable alternatives to herbicides that are environmentally friendly. Try these sustainable alternatives to weed killer.
