Starting a Recycling Program

This presentation, primarily for businesses or housing complexes, teaches participants how to set up (or refine) a recycling program, including placing recycling carts (indoor/outdoor) to make recycling easy and convenient; how to select a recycling coordinator; and how to promote and encourage recycling. Also included is a thorough explanation of Ann Arbor’s recycling guidelines, as well as a question-and-answer session for all of your recycling questions.

Recycling 101

Ever wonder why plastic lids aren’t accepted in the recycling bin? Or where your recyclables go after they leave the curb? This presentation will uncover the mysteries of recycling guidelines, give participants a behind-the-scenes look at where recyclables go, and an understanding of the significant positive impact that recycling has on conserving resources and our environment.
