What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Surge Protectors, Cords, and Plugs

Surge protectors, extension cords (indoor & outdoor), electrical cords, cables, plugs, and electrical wire are accepted for recycling as e-waste at the Drop-Off Station.

Recycle Right!

Do not put surge protectors, cords, plugs, and other electronics in your curbside recycling cart or trash. Electrical cords are considered tanglers and can jam up the machinery, causing damage and delays, and create unsafe conditions for our workers. Electronics are made up of various materials such as glass, plastic, and metal, and often contain hazardous materials. Electronics must be collected separately to ensure proper disassembly and recycling of their component parts.

Choose Zero Waste!

Always unplug electronics when you're not using them.
