What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Sewing Fabric

Sewing fabric, fabric scraps, and quilt batting scraps are not recyclable and are not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard, however, they are accepted at Scrap Creative Reuse and at Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop and at some other locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network.

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.

Recycle Right!

Do not put fabric scraps or other textiles in your curbside recycling cart. These materials can jam up the machinery, causing damage and delays, and creating unsafe conditions for our workers.

Choose Zero Waste!

Repurpose fabric scraps by making them into a craft project! Find fun creative ideas for fabric scraps can be found online.
