What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Plastic utensils

Plastic utensils that are gently used, clean, and in good usable condition are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Plastic utensils and cutlery are not recyclable and not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Do not put plastic utensils and cutlery in your curbside recycling cart. These items are made of mixed plastic, making them a low-quality plastic and will contaminate other recyclables.

Choose Zero Waste!

Use metal, wooden, or bamboo utensils instead of plastic! Keep a set of reusable cutlery at your workplace, in your bag, or in the car as an alternative to single-use plastic cutlery. Donating unwanted but still usable items instead of throwing them away is the best way to ensure they get reused!

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
