What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide
Photography chemicals
Photography chemicals, such as developer, bath solution, image stabilizer, and fixer, are considered hazardous chemicals and are accepted at Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site for proper disposal.
Recycle Right!
Always safely store and maintain photography chemicals. Do not dump them down drains or dispose of them in the general trash or in curbside recycling carts. The hazardous chemicals create dangerous conditions for our workers and could contaminate an entire load of recyclables, turning them into trash and not recycled. Dispose of chemicals safely at the Washtenaw County Home Toxics site.
Choose Zero Waste!
Always safely store and maintain photography chemicals to ensure that you can get as many uses out of them as possible. Use up all of the chemicals so you do not have to dispose of them.
