What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide
Degreaser
Degreaser/oven cleaners are considered hazardous substances and are accepted for proper disposal at Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site. These substances can contain caustic and corrosive chemicals, posing health risks.
Recycle Right!
Do not put degreaser and oven cleaner containers in your curbside recycling cart. The hazardous chemicals create dangerous conditions for our workers and could contaminate an entire load of recyclables, turning them into trash and not recycled. Dispose of degreaser/oven cleaners safely at the Washtenaw County Home Toxics site.
Choose Zero Waste!
Choose to use environmentally friendly cleaners and natural degreasers, or create your own at home. Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda are effective natural degreasers and cleaners.
