What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Photographs, negatives, slides

Photographs, film negatives, and slides are not recyclable and are not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Do not put photographs in your curbside recycling cart. Photo paper is coated with a light-sensitive chemical and is not recyclable and will contaminate other recyclables.

Choose Zero Waste!

Repurpose old or unwanted photographs, negatives, and slides to create homemade cards or for other art, craft, or collage projects. Preserve and restore them for future generations or consider donating them to historical societies or local museums.
