What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Non-Stick Cookware

Non-stick cookware that is gently used, clean, and in good to excellent usable condition is accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. If the non-stick (PTFE-coated) cookware is worn out, it should be disposed of in the trash. Non-stick cookware is not recyclable due to the PTFE coating and are not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Choose Zero Waste!

If your cookware is PTFE-coated, opt for more environmentally friendly cookware, such as stainless steel, cast iron, or glass cookware. Try to find another use for cookware in your home, if not possible, donating unwanted but still usable items instead of throwing them away or recycling them is the best way to ensure they get reused!

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
