What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Incandescent light bulbs

Incandescent light bulbs are not considered hazardous and should be placed in the trash. Incandescent light bulbs are not recyclable and are not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Incandescent light bulbs do not contain hazardous materials and can be disposed of in trash bins. Since they are made of glass and may break, be sure to pack them or surround them with some type of packaging to avoid loose glass shards from scattering. Please do not place light bulbs in your curbside recycling cart, as broken glass can create unsafe conditions for workers.

Choose Zero Waste!

Consider switching to more energy-efficient LED bulbs.
