What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Vegetable oil

Used vegetable/cooking oil such as palm oil, canola oil, peanut oil, coconut oil, etc., is accepted for recycling at the Drop-Off Station or can be taken to Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site for proper disposal.

Recycle Right!

Oil must be in a strong, sealed container (such as the original container). The Drop-Off Station does not accept mixed fluids, animal-based oils or fats, oil-based paints, or stains. Do NOT put oil in your curbside recycling cart. Oil could contaminate an entire load of recyclables, turning them into trash and not recycled.
