What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide
Stain and varnish
Stain and varnish are considered hazardous materials and are accepted at Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site for proper disposal.
Recycle Right!
Do NOT put stains and varnish in your curbside recycling cart. The hazardous materials create dangerous conditions for our workers and could contaminate an entire load of recyclables, turning them into trash and not recycled. Dispose of stain and varnish safely at the Washtenaw County Home Toxics site.
Choose Zero Waste!
Always follow the storage instructions to safely and properly store paint, allowing for multiple uses without it drying out. Thoroughly clean brushes and pans to ensure they can be reused.
