What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Printers and Copiers

Printers and copy machines that are gently used and in good usable condition are accepted for donation at some locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Printers and copiers that are broken and not repairable are accepted for recycling as e-waste at the Drop-Off Station.

Recycle Right!

Do not put printers or copiers in your curbside recycling cart or trash. Electronics are made up of various materials such as glass, plastic, and metal, and often contain hazardous materials. Electronics must be collected separately to ensure proper disassembly and recycling of their component parts.

Choose Zero Waste!

Try to repair your printer or copier before replacing it. Repair services and resources are available in and around Washtenaw County, such as All Hands Active.

Other Places Electronics are Accepted for Recycling:

  1. Staples accepts many different electronics for recycling at in-store drop-off locations
  2. Best Buy accepts many different electronics for recycling at in-store drop-off locations
  3. Dell accepts printers for recycling, as well as ink cartridges

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
