What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Ceramic/glass, plates and bakeware

Ceramic or glass plates and bakeware that are gently used, clean, and in good usable condition are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network. Ceramic or glass plates and bakeware are not recyclable and are not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Clean plates and bakeware before donating. Do not put ceramic or glass plates/bakeware in your curbside recycling cart. This glass is made of a different type of glass than food jars and bottles and melt at different temperatures. If such glass is mixed with recyclable glass, it will contaminate it. Using the wrong type of glass to make food jars and bottles can make them more fragile and less durable.

Choose Zero Waste!

Try to repurpose these items in your home, if not possible, donating unwanted but still usable items instead of throwing them away is the best way to ensure they get reused! Ceramics and glass can be repurposed into art.
