What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Packing Peanuts, Polystyrene Foam Peanuts

Expanded polystyrene foam packing peanuts are not recyclable and are not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Expanded polystyrene foam packing peanuts are not a recyclable material. Do not put any polystyrene foam in your curbside recycling cart. It can cause major problems at the sorting facility and can jam up the machinery, causing damage and delays and creating unsafe conditions for our workers.

Choose Zero Waste!

Find environmentally friendly alternatives to using polystyrene foam packing peanuts. For example, materials such as newspaper, shredded paper, paper egg cartons or old clothes can be used to cushion fragile items.
