What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

File folders, paper only

Manila, pocket, and hanging paper file folders are accepted for recycling in curbside recycling carts and at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard. Separate any metal, such as in hanging file folders, before recycling. This metal is accepted as scrap metal for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Paper file folders are the only type of file folders that are accepted in curbside recycling carts. Do not put scrap metal in curbside recycling carts.

Choose Zero Waste!

File folders in good condition can be reused multiple times before being recycled by simply adding a new label or turning them inside out. Old folders can be used for craft projects, homemade greeting cards, or repurposed in other creative ways in your home or office.
