What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Car and booster seats

Car seats and booster seats are made with a variety of materials, including rigid, bulky plastic. Because of limited to no recycling markets available, they are not recyclable and not accepted in curbside recycling carts or at the Drop-Off Station or Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Check with the manufacturer to see if they have a take-back program. Target stores have an annual trade-in store event.

Choose Zero Waste!

Due to safety standards, car seats and booster seats are generally not accepted for donation at most reuse stores. If you choose to pass down car and booster seats to a friend or neighbor, check the expiration date first
