What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide
Butane fluid
Butane fluid is commonly used in lighters, camping stove cannisters, and torches, and is considered a hazardous substance. Butane fluid is accepted at Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site.
Recycle Right!
Do not put butane fluid in your curbside recycling cart. The hazardous waste/chemicals create dangerous conditions for our workers and could contaminate an entire load of recyclables, turning them into trash and not recycled. Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site accepts butane fluid for proper disposal.
Choose Zero Waste!
Use matches instead of torches.
