Alkaline batteries
Alkaline batteries should not be placed in the curbside recycling bin. We do not accept single-use alkaline batteries at any division of RAA. You can put alkaline batteries, such as AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V batteries, in with your household trash. Appliances, Freon, not working
Appliances containing freon must be handled appropriately in order to be recycled. Freon must first be safely drained and disposed of, in order to recycle the other materials. Due to the necessary specialized care in order to recycle, an extra fee of $28 per freon appliance will be charged.
