What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Tools

Hand and power tools that are gently used, clean, and in good workable condition are accepted for donation at locations throughout the A2 Area Reuse Network.

Tools that are in poor, unusable condition and consisting of at least 60% metal are accepted as scrap metal for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Recovery Yard.

Recycle Right!

Make sure tools are in good working condition before donating. Tools are not accepted in curbside recycling carts but can be recycled as scrap metal if they contain at least 60% metal. Metal can be infinitely recycled without losing quality, please don't throw metal items in the trash, recycle them instead.

Choose Zero Waste!

Repair broken tools. Donating your unwanted but still usable items is the best way to ensure they get reused!

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
