What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Phones, not working

Phones (cellular and landline) that are no longer working are accepted as recycling at the Drop-Off Station and as trash Recovery Yard for disposal.

Recycle Right!

You can always check out Apple, Best Buy, and other tech stores to see if they have phone recycling/trade-in options. Even if your phone is really broken, they can still recycle it for free.

Live Zero Waste!

Always try to repair phones first before recycling them.

Do any other places accept broken phones?

  1. Apple accepts Apple devices for trade-in or recycling and you may receive credit towards a new device!
  2. Best Buy accepts all phones (mobile and landline) for trade-in or recycling, and if your device still has value, you may receive credit!
  3. Target accepts broken phones in a drop-off box at the entry to the store
  4. Staples accepts mobile phones for recycling
  5. Office Depot accepts phones for trade-in or recycling, and you may receive credit if your device has value!

While we do our best to stay updated on alternative reuse and recycling locations, we recommend that you call locations before taking your item(s) to confirm that they currently accept them.
