What To Do With Return to A-Z Guide

Batteries, rechargeable only

Rechargeable batteries are accepted for recycling at the Drop-Off Station and Washtenaw County's Home Toxics disposal site.

Recycle Right!

Do not throw away rechargeable batteries because they are made out of many different types of recyclable materials! Due to how they are made, however, they cannot be put into curbside recycling bins.

Live Zero Waste!

According to Earth911, "The average rechargeable battery can be charged about 1,000 times before it needs to be replaced."

Do any other places accept rechargeable batteries?

Check out your local Lowes, Staples, and Best Buy.
