What's accepted at the DOS
Drop-Off Station Brochure

Drop-Off Station Entry Fee
The Drop-Off Station began charging a $3.00 per vehicle entry fee on January 2, 2010. The entry fee is necessary to ensure the continuing operation of the the Drop-Off Station, following the end of funding support from Washtenaw County, the City of Ann Arbor, and Pittsfield Township. Customers may save with discounted multiple-use punch cards or unlimited yearly passes. Click here for more information.

Rechargeable Battery Ends Must Be Taped
To meet new U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, the positive ends of rechargeable batteries must be taped with clear tape and stored in a plastic bag. Click here for more information.

In addition to wood mulch, the Drop-Off Station also sells wood chips. (Please call for price and availability.)

Fees to recycle computer peripherals (mouse, keyboard, computer speakers), personal printers, personal copiers, fax machines, office printers and office copiers, have increased. Fees are listed below. The fee increases are necessary due to significant changes in the recycled materials markets. In addition, printer ink and toner cartridges will no longer be accepted.

REMINDER:

Yard Waste: The DOS accepts yard waste. Please note that the City of Ann Arbor Compost Center, located at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) on Platt Road, does NOT accept yard waste loads of less than six cubic yards. All yard waste loads less than six cubic yards should be dropped off at the Drop-Off Station at 2950 East Ellsworth Road.

For 24-hour information, call (734) 971-7400.
